It is more than just a light show, in fact this year, unlike the last edition where the main theme was the marine world, you can admire floral decorations, beautiful colorful flowers and reproductions of Vietri ceramics. At the municipal villa the theme is the zoo with creatures that give life to an evocative animal world. In piazza Flavio Gioia, a giant tree envelops the entire square with its branches, while on Corso Vittorio Emanuele, wonderful stylized chandeliers are protagonists, making the pedestrian area even more attractive and elegant, like a long and magnificent illuminated corridor, worthy of a dwelling of a sovereign. Finally, the typical lemons of the Amalfi Coast illuminate Piazza Sant’Agostino, to remember the famous ceramics from Vietri.
The panoramic wheel of Salerno, with the logo of the city, also known as City Eye, has a height of about 60 meters and with its 36 cabins, hosts visitors to the event throughout the period of the illuminations and allows you to admire the beautiful panorama of Salerno! Once you get to the top of the wheel you will be overwhelmed by a very strong emotion: a city dressed up for a party that reflects itself, with its wonderful colors, in the sea at night that, in turn, seems to shine with a thousand colored lights.
Obviously, walking through the streets and alleys of the ancient city, it is inevitable to delight in the specialties of our land: pizza, bread and spleen, Battipaglia zizzona that is a giant mozzarella, chestnut calzoncelli, Giffoni hazelnut ice cream, to name just a few.
